Job summary

Jabil in Mexico (Jalisco region) is seeking a Materials Planner/Buyer to manage MRP and optimize material costs across supplier base. The role collaborates with Purchasing and SCM to meet customer needs, audits suppliers, negotiates terms, and supports continuous improvement in sourcing strategies.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills, PC proficiency, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, percentages, etc.).
• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.
• Strong communication with managers, clients and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Proficient with Windows OS and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply base and SCM strategies tailored to customer or BU needs.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and SCM to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits, visits and performance reviews for base improvement.
• Quote and negotiate costs with Materials Quotation Analyst as needed.
• Advise on sourcing decisions balancing cost, terms and risk.
• Ensure compliance with pricing and terms agreements across suppliers.
