Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Purchasing professional to optimize material costs, develop a strategic supply base, and negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements for core materials. You will oversee Purchasing staff within the workcell and align sourcing with SCM initiatives.

The role emphasizes supplier audits, cost variance reduction, and collaboration with internal teams to meet customer requirements while maintaining compliance and cost control.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong PC skills including Windows OS and standard software.
• Experience with Jabil software packages is a plus.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read basic visuals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and project component purchase prices reflecting inventory value in Standard Costing.
• Assist hiring manager in recruiting and hiring activities.
• Ensure Purchasing staff receives training and resources to perform their roles.
• Optimize overall cost of materials and drive MPV/PPV improvements.
• Develop supply chain strategies and negotiate terms to benefit Jabil and customers.
