Job summary

Jabil in Mexico’s Jalisco region seeks a Senior Purchasing Manager to lead and administer the purchasing staff within the Workcell, ensuring materials meet demand and cost targets while aligning with global supply chain strategies.

You will recruit, train, coach, and develop the team, drive performance, manage forecasts, and optimize supplier relationships to support manufacturing objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and interview Purchasing Staff.
• Coach and mentor Materials staff to deliver excellence.
• Drive performance and continuous improvement in key metrics.
• Coordinate large teams and manage succession planning.
• Develop and implement a Materials strategy aligned with campus goals.
• Ensure materials meet MRP requirements and control costs.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on strategy execution.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a professional business style.
