Lenovo is seeking a Sr. Purchasing Planning Specialist in Monterrey to own purchase order management, supplier commitments, and material availability, ensuring manufacturing and fulfillment run smoothly.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with logistics, planning, and operations, plus driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, international business, international relations, logistics engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain.
• Advanced English is a must.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with data.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier communication and order management.
• Process purchase requests, manage vendor information, and support the procurement process from start to finish.
• Assist in data analysis and reporting using Excel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, planning, and operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
• Contribute to cost-saving and efficiency projects.
• PO management, PO cover L/T forecast, and purchase order problems across the material team.
• Daily shortage and supplier commitment management.
• Interlock with end-to-end supply chain team for escalation orders, expedite or reschedule urgent shipment for critical material with supplier.
• Shipment tracking along with logistics and import & export teams.

Description and Requirements

About the Role:

As a Sr. Purchasing Planning Specialist, you will be the operational backbone that connects supplier execution to end-to-end supply chain continuity. In this strategic yet hands-on role, you will take full ownership of purchase order management, supplier commitments, and material availability to keep manufacturing and fulfillment running smoothly.

Responsabilities

• Support supplier communication and order management


• Process purchase requests, managing vendor information, and supporting the procurement process from start to finish.


• Assist in data analysis and reporting using Excel.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, planning, and operations


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain


• Contribute to cost-saving and efficiency projects


• PO management, PO cover L/T forecast, and purchase order problems across the material team


• Daily shortage and supplier commitment management


• Interlock with end-to-end supply chain team for escalation order, expedite or reschedule urgent shipment for critical material co-working with supplier


• Shipment tracking along with logistics and import & export team from the supplier Weekly/Daily WW parts shortage, ONS analysis and resolution

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Business, International Relations, Logistics Engineering, or a related field.


• 3+ years og experience in Supply Chain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior knowledge or coursework related to Supply Chain Management is desirable


• Advanced English is a must


• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with data


• Proactive, eager to learn, and a team player


• Effectively manage systems (EDI (B2B)/S4/POCM/internal tools)
