Gates Corporation in Mexico is seeking a senior Materials Manager to ensure timely material supply, lead the Materials department, and drive continuous improvements while complying with Environmental, Safety, and Health standards. You will optimize inventory, purchasing, and supplier relations to support customer demands.

Responsibilities include defining inventory and logistics strategies, developing bids, and ensuring SOX controls are maintained with rigorous documentation.

Formación

• 11-15 years of experience in a similar role.
• Engineering, Administration, Accounting, Chemistry, International Trade or related degree.
• Six Sigma (green/black belt) and Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• ERP systems experience (Oracle/SAP/JD Edwards).
• Inventory and warehouse management expertise.

Responsabilidades

As Materials Manager you will ensure the constant supply of materials to meet the requirements of our customers on time, through meeting or exceeding the expectations of internal and external clients by promoting, leading, and executing the necessary activities to ensure compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Health at Work standards, as well as Gates' internal regulations, optimizing processes through continuous improvement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Control and improve the inventory levels required by Gates de Mexico and the customer, ensure 100% customer deliveries, supervise, and approve Gates de Mexico purchases for the benefit of Gates de Mexico.
• Manage the Materials department, always looking for the benefit of the employee and the Company, purchase materials, equipment, and services in accordance with established regulations and policies.
• Develops sources of supply, preparing bids or making tenders, plans the entire supply chain process of the plant, plans the production of the plant, as well as the materials to be purchased.
• Defines the plant's inventory strategy, defines the plant's logistics and service strategy.
• Responsible for ensuring that all control activities and products in the SOX (Inventory, Purchasing & Payables) matrix are accurate and run continuously on a documented basis.

• 11 - 15 YOE in similar position
• Engineering, Administration, Accounting, Chemistry, International Trade, or a degree related to the position
