Gates is seeking a Plant Controller for its San José, Mexico manufacturing facility to provide financial leadership, reporting, and strategic guidance that drive plant performance.

Responsibilities include internal controls, business planning, and partnering with operations to improve profitability and cost performance, while leading a finance team in a multinational manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, operations finance, or plant accounting.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a multinational environment.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, or engineered products industries.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems.
• Prior experience leading finance personnel in a manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

The Plant Controller serves as the senior finance partner for the San José manufacturing facility, providing financial leadership, operational support, and strategic guidance to drive plant performance. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting business planning processes, and partnering with operations leadership to improve profitability, productivity, and cost performance.
