TPE de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. in Mexicali seeks an experienced Sourcing Specialist to manage supplier negotiations, cost reductions, and strategic procurement for manufacturing operations.

You will develop supply strategies, process supplier quotes, evaluate proposals, and maintain long‑term supplier relationships while ensuring on‑time material availability. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is required; APICS/ISM certifications are a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in administration, industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• English proficiency at 80% is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is expected.
• APICS and/or ISM certifications are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at best prices using sourcing strategies.
• Develop strategies to guarantee on-time supply for efficient facility operation.
• Source suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing ones.
• Implement inventory optimization strategies within the company.
• Obtain quotes from different suppliers and compare costs.
• Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure contract details are captured in negotiations.
• Assess quotes and prepare cost breakdown analyses.
• Generate quote comparisons and contribute to supplier selection.
• Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry.
• Develop strategies to guarantee materials and services supply on time for an effective facility operation (lead time reduction, cost saving, dual sourcing, etc.).
• Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
• Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
• Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
• Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
• Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
• Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
• Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, industrial engineer, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• English 80%

MANDATORY

• Proficient on Microsoft Project Management (certification is a plus).
• Certification in APICS and/or ISM is desired.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience or equivalent in the sourcing or supply chain department.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (electronic environment is a plus).
• Proven experience in sourcing processes and projects.
