Job summary

TPE de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. in Mexicali seeks a Sourcing Specialist to negotiate with suppliers, secure best prices, and ensure timely delivery for manufacturing operations.

You will manage supplier relationships, drive cost reductions, and coordinate with legal for contracts while leveraging sourcing methodologies and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• English proficiency at 80%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project Management (certification is a plus).
• Certification in APICS and/or ISM is desired.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at best prices using sourcing strategies.
• Develop strategies to guarantee timely supply for efficient facility operation.
• Source suppliers and maintain long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
• Implement inventory optimization strategies within the company.
• Obtain quotes from different suppliers and assess cost breakdowns.
• Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Work with legal counsel to ensure contracts include all negotiation details.
• Generate quote comparisons to support supplier selection.
• Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry.
• Develop strategies to guarantee materials and services supply on time for an effective facility operation (lead time reduction, cost saving, dual sourcing, etc.).
• Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
• Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
• Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
• Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
• Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
• Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
• Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, industrial engineer, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• English 80%

MANDATORY

• Proficient on Microsoft Project Management (certification is a plus).
• Certification in APICS and/or ISM is desired.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience or equivalent in the sourcing or supply chain department.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (electronic environment is a plus).
