Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Sales Support Expert to provide functional and technical support through the sales process, ensuring customers and internal teams obtain the right product knowledge.

The role involves creating engineering proposals, defining tasks and schedules, and coordinating multi-disciplinary cost estimates, presenting technical solutions during meetings and negotiations to secure compliant, cost-effective offers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–6 years’ experience in HV products, substations and transformers.
• Knowledge of high-voltage products and transformers; AutoCAD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering proposals for products and systems, including drawings and plans preparation, and meetings with other business units and consortium partners.
• Review risk analysis with all partners before submitting the proposal.
• Define project tasks. Define schedule, cost, and quality metrics.
• Coordinate the creation of work plans and cost estimates in all applicable engineering disciplines.
• Preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs, including provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, creating design solutions to proposals for engineering projects or programs, and solving critical technical design-related issues/ questions from customers
• Works with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovating with them to drive improvements.
• Attends project meetings and presents all technical aspects of project assignments. Interacts with customers, contractors, suppliers, and others.
• Supports the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in preparing demanding offers.
• Provides technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations, and offers products/solutions/services.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Your Background

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
• 5 to 6 years of experience in high voltage products and services, electrical substations, and transformers
• Knowledge of high-voltage products and transformers
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable
