Nextpower is seeking a Project Engineer for onsite work in Mexico City, focusing on design and engineering for solar tracker layouts and construction plans. You will report to the Manager of Project Engineering and collaborate with teams across the US, India, and Mexico to support development through construction.

The role requires civil/structural/ mechanical engineering background, 5 years of experience in solar or utility-scale projects, and proficiency in drafting standards and AutoCAD.

Formación

• BS in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or related preferred.
• 5 years of relevant engineering experience supporting commercial or utility-scale projects.
• Thorough knowledge of drafting standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD.

Responsabilidades

• Provide design support to develop tracker layouts, CAD blocks, mechanical sets, and full construction plan sets.
• Review site information, design inputs, and assist in selecting appropriate product types based on site conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers in our India office updating to new product configurations and drafting standards; potentially develop automation procedures.
• Conduct value engineering exercises to lower costs on a project basis.
• Coordinate with designers in other regions to create/update product standards and design changes.
• Learn topography and hydrology analysis to determine optimal tracker placement.
