Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions seeks an Software Engineering Manager to lead teams delivering the next phase of ELERA: AI-native development tooling and agentic platform components for a scalable, end-to-end delivery model.

The role requires 5–10+ years in software development with leadership, strong architectural and coding skills, and a track record of shipping production systems at scale. You will guide multi-site teams and partner with Principal Engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years in software development, including 3-10 years in leadership or manager role.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong software engineering background with a track record of shipping production systems at scale.
• Demonstrated leadership of software engineers, staff engineer, tech lead, or manager roles, with end-to-end delivery ownership.
• Working knowledge of modern Agile delivery, SDLC, and CI/CD in a continuous deployment environment.
• Ability to move between architectural reviews and sprint standups within a day.
• Track record of leading through ambiguity and recovering from production incidents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with executive-ready tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and execution: manage milestone plans, sprint tracking, risk, and quality.
• The team: hiring, performance, compensation, career development, and difficult conversations.
• Technical fluency: stay close to code, review designs, and partner with principal engineers.
• Product reality: understand architecture, backlog, customers, and market performance.
• Production support: own customer escalations and meet SLAs.
