Job summary

Axiom seeks a Process Engineer for SMT in Guadalajara, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager. You will supervise SMT technicians and lead process optimization to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Responsibilities include developing process programs, performing CPK analyses, profiling, and creating detailed work instructions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of SMT processes: SPI, stencil printing, pick-and-place, reflow, and assembly.
• Experience creating work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise SMT Technician activities.
• Develop and optimize SMT process programs and machine setups to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform CPK calculations and process capability analysis.
• Set up profiling boards and generate thermal profiles for reflow ovens.
• Create and maintain Work Instructions and process documentation.
• Validate tooling, fixtures and stencils.
• Conduct failure analysis and process mapping to identify root causes and improve yields.
• Support Kaizen initiatives focused on quality and productivity.
