Flextronics - The Flex Company in Guadalajara is seeking an SMT Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and sustain SMT manufacturing processes for high-volume electronics production. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Test, and Engineering to drive process improvements and support new product introductions.

The role requires hands-on SMT expertise across Screen Printing, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI, and PTH, with strong IPC-A-610 knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mechatronics, industrial engineering or similar.
• Sr experience in SMT Process Engineering within electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on SMT: Screen Printing, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI, PTH.
• Strong IPC-A-610 knowledge.
• CPK process capability studies.
• Experience with NPI and process validation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise SMT activities and coordinate the team.
• Develop, optimize, sustain SMT processes.
• Create equipment programs for DEK, SPI, AOI, Pick & Place.
• Develop and validate reflow profiles and solder paste processes.
• Analyze CPK and implement corrective actions to improve stability.
• Troubleshoot PCB assembly issues and drive improvements.
• Drive yield, cycle time, and scrap reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate process validations, tooling, and fixtures.
• Support NPI and process transfers.
• Capacity analysis and line balancing.
• Document manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards.
