Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an engineer in a telecom operator/vendor or SMS firewall environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, IT, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SMS firewall concepts and protocols (SS7, SMPP).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Proficiency in Linux systems and CLI commands.
• Knowledge of REGEX.
• Experience troubleshooting in fast-paced operational environments.
• Spanish – fluent (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call operational support and maintenance for SMS Firewall platforms.
• Configure and maintain SMS Firewall rules to detect and block grey routes and fraudulent traffic.
• Provide L1 technical support and troubleshooting for incidents and alarms.
• Develop automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Prepare and distribute daily SMS Firewall reports with traffic metrics.
• Monitor SMS traffic trends to identify anomalies and potential issues.
• Analyze HLD/LLD documents to understand architecture and deployments.
• Resolve NOC tickets with timely investigation and resolution.
• Collaborate with L2/L3, engineering and vendor teams to resolve major incidents.
• Participate in incident escalation and root cause analyses.
