Qualifications

• B.S. Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or similar.
• M.S. in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in design engineering, production, operations or manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience with cost model software, specifically aPriori.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, forging, castings, etc.).
• Understanding of cost structure and finance concepts (labor, machine rates, overheads, SG&A).
• Proficient data analysis and dashboarding with MS Excel/Tableau/Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Generate and update should-cost models for all categories based on current business needs.
• Develop and calibrate should-cost models based on manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with sourcing, design, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure accurate assumptions.
• Design to cost: implement cost-optimization ideas with R&D teams.
• Monitor commodity trends to predict deflation/inflation impacts on costs.
• Prepare detailed cost reports.
• Support CI initiatives and project owners.
