Job summary

Fortunebrands in Mexico seeks a senior cost-model engineer to generate and update cost models across categories, leveraging minimum process benchmarks and aPriori. The role collaborates with sourcing, design engineering, manufacturing and supply chain to ensure accurate assumptions and apply cost-reduction ideas through design-to-cost initiatives.

Candidates bring a BS in engineering, MS, 5+ years in design/production, 3+ years with cost-model tools (aPriori), and strong Excel/Tableau/Power BI

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or similar.
• M.S. in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience working in design engineer, production, operations or manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience with any cost model software tool, specifically with aPriori. Experienced in creating detailed cost models for different manufacturing processes.
• Strong experience and deep knowledge in manufacturing processes such as machining, forging, castings, plastic injection, sheet metal, aluminum extrusion, packaging, assembly, etc.
• Strong understanding of component cost structure and finance concepts. Labor rates, machine rates, overheads, rejection %, SG&A and profit.
• Strong skills in data analysis and management. High level of confidence in using MS Excel, Tableau, Power BI.
• Able to create scorecards and dashboards by using massive and constantly changing data set

Responsibilities
