Job summary

Webasto SE is seeking an entry-level Cost Analyst in Irapuato, Mexico. The role focuses on analyzing part costs, developing auditable target costs, and driving cost reductions through collaboration with procurement and production teams. You will support cost workshops and help translate cost findings into customer quotes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze costs of purchased parts and identify saving potentials.
• Provide auditable target cost calculations and cost estimates for new products during development and before supplier nomination (Parts and Tools).
• Perform independent analysis of specific cost drivers in production technologies (e.g., injection molding, punching, bending, extrusion).
• Implement standardized costing with key suppliers.
• Support supplier cost workshops to improve transparency and drive savings through data-driven negotiations.
• Communicate cost calculation results to the sales team to ensure integration into quotes.
• Identify and evaluate cost reduction potentials via design, specification, and manufacturing/assembly changes.

Job description

• Analyze costs of purchased parts and define saving potentials in close cooperation with commodity and program purchasing team
• Auditable target cost calculations and cost estimations for new products within development phase and before supplier nomination. (Parts and Tools)
• Independent and continuous analysis of specific cost drivers of dedicated production technologies ( e.g. injection molding, punching, bending, extrusion)
• Implement standardized costing with key suppliers
• Support supplier cost workshops to improve cost transparency and process optimizations as well as realizing savings through data driven negotiations
• Communicate and explain cost calculation results to sales team to assure integration of the results into customer quotes
• Identify and evaluate cost reduction potentials by changes to design, specification, manufacturing / assembly processes
