Ford Motor Company in Mexico is seeking an experienced Pre-Program Architecture Engineer to define, design, and integrate vehicle propulsion architectures across ICE, hybrid, and EV platforms. You will translate performance targets into component requirements and lead feasibility studies for production-ready systems.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of transmission design, electrical powertrain development, or similar automotive role with proficiency working in an English-language environment.
• 5+ years of CAD experience. Proficiency in using CATIA V5/V6 or similar to create and manage robust, parametric builds.

Responsabilidades

• System Definition & Requirements: Define overall powertrain architecture, power flow, efficiency, and key component requirements.
• System Performance & Integration: Lead system trade-off studies and ensure seamless integration with vehicle systems.
• Technology & Innovation: Drive development of advanced propulsion solutions and contribute to technology roadmaps.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, thermal, software, supplier, and purchasing teams.
• CAD Design and Concepting: Use CAD to generate new designs and multiple proposals for production and testing.
• Modeling & Simulation: Use high-fidelity tools to predict system behavior and validate designs.
• Testing & Validation: Plan and execute system validation to meet targets and standards.
• Documentation & Governance: Create system-level documentation and govern requirements.
