Collins Aerospace, a RTX business, seeks a Senior Design Engineer, Tooling in Mexicali to design manufacturing tooling enabling high-quality aerospace components while improving safety and efficiency.

You will develop detailed 3D models and drawings using CATIA V5, collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams, and drive continuous improvement of tooling solutions to meet rigorous standards.

Competenze

Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
Advanced proficiency using CATIA V5 to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for manufacturing tooling.
Experience designing tooling for aerospace manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawing interpretation, material properties, and standard hardware selection for tooling applications.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and support RCCA activities.

Mansioni

Design and develop manufacturing tools that support safe, ergonomic, high-quality, and efficient production in accordance with Tool Design Manuals and aerospace industry best practices.
Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CATIA V5 to support composite layup, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly manufacturing processes.
Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to deliver tooling solutions that support production requirements and ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Investigate tooling and manufacturing issues by participating in RCCA activities and implementing effective corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing challenges, developing innovative tooling solutions, and optimizing product quality, productivity, and operational performance.
