Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Mexicali is seeking an Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing project execution by applying engineering and manufacturing knowledge to planning, process improvement, capacity and demand analysis, and cost initiatives. This role emphasizes achieving project objectives, productivity gains, and budget adherence.

The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, applying Lean manufacturing methods, and requires experience in assembly

Qualifications

• Requires at least a university degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in assembly operations and project management.
• Proficient English (written and spoken).
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for work transfer project execution plans within Operations/Manufacturing; provide feedback on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials constraints, schedules, and staffing to meet objectives.
• Focus production teams to meet quality, schedule, and cost expectations.
• Implement operating plans and budget, including priorities, production schedules, staffing, and budget targets.
• Contribute to quality improvement and Lean Manufacturing programs.
• Support cost and waste reduction and productivity improvements.
• Plan staffing and labor details around priorities within expenditure constraints.
• Enable cross-functional communication across departments and sites.
• Analyze demand data using Excel, including PivotTables.
• Communicate in English and Spanish with leaders through meetings, reports, and written correspondence.
• Occasional travel to the United States may be required.
