Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Sr Manager to lead engineering teams across development, producibility, testing, qualification, and program execution in Mexicali. You will set goals, assign work, mentor staff, and coordinate with customers to meet milestones.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years’ experience in aerospace, strong root-cause analysis, and a track record of improving on-time delivery, quality, and cost performance. International travel up to 20% is expected.

Formación

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Engineering leadership experience with deliverables reviews and performance management.
• Aerospace engineering experience with aircraft structures, parts or components.
• Component qualification, validation, and testing experience.
• Engineering investigation experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the engineering team by setting goals, priorities, and mentoring.
• Plan and coordinate engineering activities to meet program goals and milestones.
• Coordinate Development, Value Engineering, Producibility, and Testing with customers and internal teams.
• Provide technical direction to resolve challenges and drive improvements in metrics.
• Coordinate design and stress analysis activities with milestone tracking and deliverables.
• Establish metrics and monitor performance to improve OTD, FPY, productivity, and margins.
• Develop low-cost sourcing plans and manage indirect spending to align with budgets.
• Ensure standard analysis methods and apply mitigation as needed.
• Recommend design changes to improve performance and manufacturability.
• Lead qualification/validation methods and tolerance studies to support design integrity.
• Lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support objectives.
• Communicate goals and program updates to staff and senior leadership.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
