Job summary

RTX is seeking a Design Engineering Intern in Mexicali, MX. The role supports engineering design activities, including 3D modeling, documentation, and process improvements, contributing to aerospace component reliability and safety.

You will work with experienced engineers to create and modify CATIA models, prepare drawings and docs, and assist in automation projects. Strong fundamentals in design, Excel, and communication are valued as you learn in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Fundamental knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing processes.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and modification of 3D models and engineering drawings using CATIA.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of engineering documentation.
• Support design process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to investigate and resolve technical design challenges.
• Perform assigned engineering tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.
