Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our Guadalajara North Campus team. You will lead testing efforts for hardware and software systems, develop test programs in Python, and coordinate cross-functional engineering activities.

The role requires NPIs, strong test engineering background, and advanced English. You will manage test data, tooling, and diagnostics, contribute to test plan creation, and drive KPI fulfillment while collaborating with maintenance and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, mechatronics or related.
• Solid experience in NPI.
• Strong experience as a Test Engineer.
• Advanced English is mandatory.
• Solid experience in capacity analysis and corrective/preventive maintenance.
• Experience managing test KPIs.
• Personnel management.
• Advanced Excel.
• Python programming skills desirable.
• Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages (Python, LabView, Perl etc.).
• Valid visa and passport would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages (Python).
• Develops instrument drivers.
• Develops and/or supports diagnostic tests at the card edge level.
• Designs and supports functional test hardware, computer platforms and interfaces.
• Develops test plans and procedures.
• Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development, enhancements, test fixtures.
• Develops quotations for functional test hardware and software.
• Analyzes and interprets software or system level diagnostic failure (software and hardware).
• Develops and/or modifies software or system level plans and tests.
• Develops and/or supports quality comprehensive test programs.
• Develops quotes for test development and enhancements.
• Performs test ability analysis (DFT).
