Job summary

Tyco Electronics Tecnologías, S.de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a seasoned technical sales professional to drive design-in opportunities and build strong engineering relationships across a regional landscape in Mexico.

The role focuses on identifying new platforms, managing opportunities, and delivering production-ready solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of experience in electronics sales or related fields, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of technical sales, FAE, business development, or account-management in electronics.
• Knowledge of PCB applications and component selection; switches, passives, electromechanical, or identification experience preferred.
• Proven ability to develop engineering relationships and convert opportunities into production.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new opportunities with design houses and contract manufacturers.
• Drive design-ins from technical discovery to sampling, qualification, award, and production.
• Identify new platforms, redesigns, cost-reduction opportunities, and share-gain opportunities.
• Conduct design reviews, engineering workshops, product demonstrations, and sample evaluations.
• Build relationships with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and executive stakeholders.
• Position TE switches, passives, identification products, and PCB technologies.
• Coordinate product management, engineering, FAE, operations, pricing, distributors, and manufacturer reps.
• Manage pipeline, forecasts, quotations, competition, next actions, and CRM conversions.
• Monitor customer, market, technology, and competitor developments across the territory.
