Job summary

Banamex, a leading financial services institution, seeks a Digital Software Engineering Sr Mgr to lead a high-impact development team in Mexico. You will guide architecture, deliver scalable software, and ensure high-quality, secure delivery across complex systems.

You will oversee design, development, and operational excellence, mentoring engineers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving best practices in CI/CD, testing, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Solid Java experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and Angular.
• Strong enterprise architecture knowledge and cloud familiarity.
• Proficient in Git and software configuration management.
• Experience in troubleshooting production incidents and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and technically coordinate the development team.
• Participate in design and evolution of applications.
• Perform technical decisions with developers and architecture teams.
• Supervise code reviews and promote code quality.
• Coordinate L3 incident support and identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot applications and services in production.
• Coordinate activities across development, support, infra and business.
• Monitor bugs, defects, vulnerabilities, and technical debt.
• Ensure development standards, security, documentation and architecture.
• Identify technical risks and propose proactive improvements.
• Support the team with blockers and facilitate problem resolution.
• Track deliverables and priorities with clear stakeholder communication.
