Openbank Mexico, part of Santander, seeks a seasoned Chief Technology Officer to lead the engineering organization responsible for Core Banking and Digital Channels. You will balance local market needs with global platform strategy, delivering secure and scalable banking technology while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

You will drive engineering excellence, advocate API-first design, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale, highly available systems.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across Core Banking and Digital Channels.
• Define adoption of platforms, APIs, integrations in line with strategy.
• Ensure security, resilience, compliance, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and global teams.
• Drive DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, and release practices.
• Lead capability migrations while managing risk and regulatory needs.
