Sovos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize the enterprise systems and infrastructure powering our global tax compliance platform. You will be a hands-on contributor across teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions and mentor others.

You will triage complex issues, design architectures, support automation with Terraform, Puppet, Python, Jenkins, and Automox, and help document standards and DR plans. This role emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Solid systems engineering experience with server design, virtualization, storage and backup.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in production environments, including SaaS platforms and multi-tier architectures.
• Strong networking knowledge including routing, firewalls, ACLs, and NSX.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
• Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and emerging tools to enhance productivity and reliability.
• Background check will be required on hire.

Responsabilidades

• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex server and infrastructure issues to ensure platform stability.
• Design, implement, and support architectures including UCS Blade virtualization, Domain Controllers, Pure Storage, F5, NSX, Rubrik, and monitoring (Nagios, Grafana).
• Support automation and deployment with Terraform, Puppet, Python, Jenkins, and Automox; leverage AI tools to improve workflows.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, product, database, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation (low-level design, HA diagrams, capacity models, network/storage diagrams, DR plans, guides).
• Participate in design reviews, planning, and change management with Jira Service Management.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge sharing and standards.
