Placements24 is seeking a Flight Control Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and test flight control laws for advanced aircraft, leveraging C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.

Collaboration with a global team is required to deliver robust, safe control solutions. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in flight control design, strong control theory, modeling and HIL experience, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design and implementation of flight control systems.
• Strong command of control theory (modern & classical).
• Proficiency with modeling/simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate flight control laws for various aircraft platforms.
• Model aircraft dynamics and control systems; run simulations.
• Implement control algorithms in C/C++ for real-time systems; use MATLAB/Simulink.
• Conduct extensive simulations to assess stability and robustness.
• Develop and execute test plans for flight control systems (simulation and HIL).
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, systems, and software teams in a remote setting.
• Analyze flight test data and refine control algorithms accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and safety requirements.
• Document design, development, and testing activities thoroughly.
