Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Simulation and Modeling Engineer to join a remote-first engineering team. You will create, validate, and apply complex models to predict vehicle system behavior under varied conditions, leveraging ANSYS, Abaqus, and MATLAB/Simulink.

The role requires 6+ years in CAE within the automotive industry, deep understanding of vehicle physics, and strong communication for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in CAE within the automotive industry.
• Expert proficiency with industry-standard CAE tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, MSC Nastran, COMSOL).
• Strong background in automotive physics and system-level modeling.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement high-fidelity simulation models for automotive components and systems (structural, thermal, fluid dynamics, and multibody).
• Perform advanced simulations to analyze performance, durability, crashworthiness, NVH, and other key attributes.
• Interpret results and provide actionable insights to design teams.
• Collaborate with physical testing to correlate models with experiments.
• Define strategies and methodologies to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Mentor junior engineers in simulation techniques and tools.
