Job summary

VolFront seeks a senior software engineer to own design and delivery of core features for volAI trading terminal, handling high-speed data and low latency workloads across SQL, Python, and cloud services.

You will optimize data pipelines with PostgreSQL, build robust API contracts, mentor juniors, and cooperate with data science and UX teams to ship new workflows.

Experience with Azure, real-time streaming, and finance feeds will help you hit the ground running in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Deep PostgreSQL: partitioning, indexing, 100M+ rows, FDW, vacuum health.
• Strong Python for designing loaders.
• Experience owning production data platforms (Windows & Linux).
• Working with Azure-based deployments and real-time data.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own design, implementation, and optimization of core features for VolFront’s volAI terminal.
• Set robust API contracts and build modular, reusable components across the stack.
• Write efficient SQL and interact with PostgreSQL data infrastructure.
• Ensure reliability under market-open pressures and high-volume data streams.
• Triaging alerts, root-cause analysis, and implementing systemic fixes.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide data-ops initiatives.
