Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Consumer team. You will own the architecture of Rust backend services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences, delivering end-to-end features with a strong emphasis on user experience and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product leadership on roadmaps, and drive AI-assisted development to accelerate shipping and quality. A fast-paced, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering with Rust.
• Architectural decisions in production and ownership of outcomes.
• Experience shipping features from problem to launch with impact.
• Mentoring and setting team standards.
• Cross-team collaboration and alignment experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and delivery of Rust backend services powering trading and crypto experiences.
• Translate ambiguous problems into shipped, measurable work.
• Own features end-to-end across backend and frontend boundaries.
