Corning Incorporated seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives across manufacturing, driving root-cause investigations and CAPA programs. You will collaborate with production teams to strengthen process capability and ensure compliance with quality systems and customer expectations.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, data-driven improvement, and audit support in a dynamic manufacturing environment in Mexico. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• More than four years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing quality role.
• Strong knowledge of statistical quality tools (SPC, MSA, capability studies, DOE) and data analysis; experience with Minitab or equivalent.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and quality systems audits.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies; Green Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills, including strong presentation and negotiation abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Lead quality problem-solving activities using root-cause analysis, statistical methods, and advanced quality tools to improve product conformity and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions, control plans, FMEA improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with production and cross-functional teams to improve process capability, reduce the cost of quality, and achieve plant quality objectives.
• Support internal and external audits, monitor key quality metrics, and communicate performance, risks, and improvement actions to plant leadership and relevant teams.
