Corning Incorporated in Apodaca, Mexico, is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain quality systems that support production requirements and ensure ISO 9001 and TL 9000 compliance. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, read technical drawings, and lead KPI and 8D problem solving to improve product and process quality.

• Engineering degree required.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience reading technical drawings.
• Experience with ISO 9001; TL 9000 is a plus.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• English: 80% proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement and maintain Quality systems to meet production, ISO 9001 and TL 9000 requirements.
• Determine resource requirements for the Quality Engineering department; people, equipment, facilities as well as its optimization.
• Conduct product, process and systems assessments.
• Conduct finished goods materials inspections and drive continuous improvements activities.
• Lead KPI and corrective actions through problem solving (8D, 5 whys, A3, etc.).
• Attend Customer Notifications.
• Coordinate Process Audit & MSA.
