Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Planner to drive manufacturing planning, balancing demand, inventory, capacity, and execution. You will bridge Supply Chain, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and global teams to ensure on‑time delivery and proactive risk management.

You will develop schedules, monitor metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and service levels across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel and planning/reporting tool proficiency.
• Strong SAP experience with planning transactions and production orders.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional/global teams and managing priorities.
• APICS/CPIM certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP master data management and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage production schedules aligned with demand and capacity.
• Analyze OTP, PLT, order dating, late backlog, and schedule attainment to meet targets.
• Balance workloads, evaluate capacity constraints, and align plans with requirements.
• Identify supply-demand gaps, mitigate risks, and drive recovery plans.
• Collaborate with regional/global teams, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Use SAP to manage production orders and maintain planning accuracy.
• Review master data and system parameters to improve MRP output.
• Generate reports on adherence, capacity, inventory, and service levels.
• Lead continuous improvement to increase planning efficiency and reduce waste.
