Job summary

AMETEK in Reynosa, MX is seeking a Director of Operations to lead all plant activities, including manufacturing, materials, quality, and continuous improvement, ensuring safe, compliant, and highly productive operations.

You will develop and execute plans to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, drive Lean and productivity gains, manage capacity and workforce, and collaborate with engineering on capital projects and new product introductions, while guiding AI-enabled decisions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10+ years in manufacturing/operations with progressive leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all plant operations including manufacturing, materials management, and support functions.
• Develop and execute operational plans to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, productivity, waste reduction) across the plant.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., QSR, safety, environmental).
• Lead workforce planning, talent development, and labor management across departments.
• Manage inventory, capacity planning, and resource allocation to optimize plant performance.
• Partner with engineering and leadership on capital projects, new product introduction, and process improvements.
