AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of safe, lean, and cost-effective manufacturing processes in Reynosa.

The role oversees engineering, maintenance programs, capital investments, and productivity initiatives to support product quality and business goals. The candidate will partner with Operations to identify opportunities, optimize equipment, and ensure successful execution of product introductions and transfers while driving

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar manufacturing engineering position.
• Experience leading or managing a technical team.
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with product/manufacturing process transfers.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction and Engineering Change Notice processes.
• Experience in electric motor manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, CI, maintenance, safety.
• Analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise the Manufacturing Engineering team (manufacturing, industrial, test equipment, maintenance, process engineering).
• Define and implement safe, lean, reliable, cost-effective processes.
• Establish resources and capabilities for the Manufacturing Engineering function.
• Develop engineering plans aligned with Operations targets and KPIs.
• Monitor engineering performance and report status.
• Lead CI initiatives focusing on productivity, waste reduction, cost improvement, process optimization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve flow (Lean, SMED).
• Manage capital investment projects and cost analysis.
• Ensure projects meet objectives and timelines.
• Oversee equipment assets, maintenance, spare parts, and external services.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs.
• Support NPI, ECN, and product/process transfers.
• Supervise product costing activities.
• Collaborate across Operations, Quality, Safety, and others on improvements.
• Address safety concerns and ensure compliance with policies.
• Foster professional development and hands-on accountability in the department.
