Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a VAVE Sr. Engineer - Packaging onsite in Nuevo Sur, Nuevo León. You will drive cost-out opportunities using VAVE and total cost analysis across cross-functional teams to deliver savings.

You will develop alternative packaging concepts with CAD, manage BOMs in Windchill and SAP, ensure regulatory compliance, and update internal packaging standards. Fluent English and packaging materials expertise are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering.
2-4 years related experience in cost reduction VA/VE and Continuous Design Improvement projects.
Ability to drive engineering-based solutions to complex problems.
Proficient knowledge of packaging material types (corrugated, honeycomb, molded pulp, foams, films, wood, sustainable materials).
Basic knowledge of product materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, ceramics casting) preferred but not required.
Experience applying DFM principles to packaging design.
Excellent communication to work globally with cross-functional teams.
Fluent in English.
Proficient in ArtiosCAD, Adobe Illustrator, CAPE, PTC Creo Software & MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

Perform cost out opportunity mining via Pareto analysis, benchmarking, tear downs, and site visits.
Apply VAVE methodologies to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Perform total cost benefit analyses and finalize annualized savings for projects.
Develop CAD prototypes and coordinate design verification testing.
Create/update BOMs, submit ECNs and release designs in Windchill and SAP.
Ensure packaging changes comply with regional/global regulations, processes, standards, sustainability goals, and customer requirements.
Create/update internal packaging standards as required.
