Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a Sr Engineer - Packaging onsite in Nuevo León, Mexico. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and improving structural packaging for Kitchen and Bath core products, driving cost savings and sustainability.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with global packaging standards. The ideal candidate has a packaging engineering background with 2–4 years of related experience, proficiency in CAD tools, and strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering required.
• 2–4 years packaging engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive engineering-based solutions to complex problems.
• Proficient knowledge of packaging material types (corrugated, honeycomb, molded pulp, foams, films, wood, sustainable materials).
• Basic knowledge of plastics, brass/zinc casting, steel fabrication processes preferred but not required.
• DFM principles applied to packaging design.
• Strong communication skills for global cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English; ability to work with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and evaluate packaging applications for new and existing products, focusing on efficiency and creativity.
• Provide engineering support from concept through production/distribution to final installation.
• Ensure packaging work aligns with quality practices and corporate goals.
• Facilitate engineering innovation in daily activities and challenges.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and finalize annualized savings for projects.
• Develop design prototypes and CAD drawings; coordinate testing of alternative designs.
