Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking an Sr Engineer - Packaging to design, implement, and improve structural packaging for Kitchen and Bath core products at our Mexico site. You will drive packaging innovations, work with global teams, and ensure compliance with standards and sustainability goals.

The role requires a packaging engineering degree, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with CAD tools and manufacturing processes. Onsite work in Nuevo León, Mexico, with collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering required.
• 2–4 years of packaging design experience.
• Ability to drive engineering-based solutions to complex problems.
• Knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
• DFM principles applied to packaging design.
• Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and evaluate packaging applications for new and existing products, incorporating technology and efficiency.
• Provide engineering support for product packaging from concept through production/distribution, to final installation and/or destination.
• Incorporate quality practices with focus on corporate, divisional, and departmental goals.
• Facilitate engineering innovation in daily activities and challenges.
• Perform total cost benefit analysis and finalize annualized savings for projects.
• Develop CAD prototypes and verify designs; coordinate testing of alternatives.
• Create/update BOMs, submit engineering change requests, and release revised designs in Windchill and SAP.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging changes comply with regional/global regulations, processes, standards, sustainability goals, and customer requirements.
• Create/update internal packaging standards as required.
