Job summary

QAD Inc. is seeking a Sr. Support Engineer, MO for a fully remote role based in Mexico. You will diagnose and resolve complex issues across QAD and Progress databases, perform DBA tasks, and guide customers via CRM, phone and email.

Responsibilities include documentation, training material development, and close collaboration with R&D and Product Management. The role requires 24/7 availability with shift and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise products.
• English C1 proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and high-priority case management.
• Proficiency in Unix, Windows, networks.
• Programming knowledge in C, C++, Unix scripting, Progress.
• Progress DBA and database backup/restore.
• Linux and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with ERP installation, configuration and administration (QAD, SAP, Oracle ERP, Dynamics 365).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless installations, upgrades and configurations of QAD products.
• Perform Progress DBA tasks including database optimization, backups and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain detailed issue/resolution documentation and training materials.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to devise effective solutions and uphold superior support.
• Contribute to 24/7 support coverage and develop training content for complex cases.
