Job summary

Corning is seeking a Sr. Staff Developer, MES in Reynosa to apply Python, ML and manufacturing systems expertise to improve plant performance.

You will develop and enhance MES apps, integrate MES with ERP, and lead technical efforts alongside Engineering and Quality, reporting to the IT Site Manager. You will analyze data, design ML models, and implement solutions using MES platforms and common programming languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience developing manufacturing systems.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience in data analysis, data modeling and statistics.
• Machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow; MES platforms such as Comet/CAMSTAR, iFix or OSI PI; knowledge of C#, SQL and Visual Basic.
• Conversational English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance MES applications and integrations with ERP systems; analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve production performance.
• Develop and implement Python-based machine learning solutions to support process optimization and predictive analytics.
• Propose new technologies and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to implement solutions, document changes and support plant users.
