nVent is seeking a Senior Mechanical R&D Engineer to join our Monterrey team on-site. You will own end-to-end mechanical product development, from feasibility through certification, while leading design standards and collaborating with operations, quality, sourcing, and product management to ensure successful launches.

The role requires 10+ years in progressive product development, advanced English, and travel up to 20-30% as needed to support global programs.

Formación

BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
10+ years of progressive product development experience.
Advanced English language required.
Willingness to travel up to 20-30% of time.

Responsabilidades

Define and own end-to-end mechanical product development including feasibility, prototypes, validation, and certification.
Serve as technical owner for mechanical platforms across products.
Establish design-for-manufacturability standards with operations.
Lead mechanical design standards, specs, and validation approaches.
Plan and manage tasks, backlogs to support NPI timelines.
Collaborate with operations, quality, sourcing, product management, and sales to support launches.
Provide technical leadership in design reviews, FMEAs, risk mitigation.
Represent the organization as a technical expert with customers.
