Job summary

Zillow Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Marketing Technologist or Marketing Data Engineer to build scalable data infrastructure for the marketing organization.

You will configure the Customer Data Platform, onboard new platforms, and translate business needs into technical specifications while collaborating across marketing, product, and engineering. The role emphasizes hands-on work with ETL, APIs, and AI tooling, plus program management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Engineering, Analytics, Tech Operations, or Marketing Technologist roles leading programs across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable platforms and services
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases required; Python or other programming languages preferred
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, cloud services (ACS S3 and Lambda), and API integrations
• Nice to have: experience with marketing platforms (CDP, ESP, Google/Facebook APIs) and CRM tools (Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, or similar field preferred, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Configure the Customer Data Platform and other marketing systems for centralized data management and powering campaigns
• Drive the marketing technology roadmap by onboarding new platforms, including requirements, design, testing, and training
• Shape MarTech system design and contribute to architecture discussions for a scalable, secure tech stack
• Translate business requirements into technical specs and data needs to enable personalized experiences
• Build integrations and ETLs to federate data to various channels
• Develop and utilize AI tools to automate processes and streamline workflows
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering to deliver detailed technical project plans
• Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, and refine scope to deliver quality product on schedule
• Coordinate with other dev dependencies to align cross-technical sprint schedules
• Document and maintain standardized, automated processes
