Job summary

Zillow Group seeks an experienced Senior Marketing Technologist or Marketing Data Engineer to build and operate the data infrastructure powering our marketing organization.

You will configure the CDP and marketing platforms, design scalable data pipelines, and collaborate across marketing, product, and engineering to deliver robust, automated solutions. Equity awards are available based on performance and location.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Engineering, Analytics, Tech Operations, or Marketing Technologist role, leading technical programs across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable platforms and services.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases required; Python or other programming languages preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, cloud services (AWS S3 and Lambda), and API integrations.
• Nice to have: experience with marketing platforms (CDP, ESP, Google/Facebook APIs) and CRM tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Configure the Customer Data Platform and other marketing systems to enable centralized customer data management and power campaigns.
• Drive the marketing technology roadmap by onboarding new platforms, including requirements definition, solution design, testing and training of end-user teams.
• Shape MarTech system design and contribute to architecture discussions to create a scalable, secure stack.
• Translate business requirements to technical specifications and identify data needs for personalized customer experiences.
• Build integrations between systems and APIs, develop ETLs to federate data across channels.
• Develop and utilize AI tools to automate processes and streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering to deliver detailed technical project plans.
• Document and maintain standardized, efficient processes; automate where possible.
