Job summary

Caterpillar in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico is seeking a manufacturing engineering leader to coordinate automated manufacturing systems, processes and product engineering to support plant objectives.

The role leads manufacturing engineering and governance, spearheads capital investments for improved OEE, and ensures readiness for new product introductions and source changes, while applying Lean principles to maximize efficiency across assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations.
• Analytical ability and supervisory leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee programs for hiring, performance management and staff development in the plant.
• Lead assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimation, layouts, and equipment standards.
• Drive continual improvement of operating methods, equipment and systems.
• Coordinate release dates and material schedules to meet demand and optimize efficiency.
