Job summary

EPAM Systems in Mexico seeks a Senior Java Developer to contribute to AI-enabled development and deliver forward-looking software products. You will collaborate with multi-national teams in a dynamic, inclusive culture that values learning and technical excellence.

You will work on scalable backend services, REST endpoints, and microservices architectures while leveraging Azure and AWS for cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands-on experience in a software development or technical role.
• Applied understanding of artificial intelligence tools and principles that improve software construction methods.
• Comprehensive knowledge of core Java and object-oriented programming approaches.
• Demonstrated experience with Java 8 features in practical development scenarios.
• Experience leveraging Spring Boot to create and maintain backend services.
• Practical exposure to Microsoft Azure environments for cloud solution delivery and support.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services for cloud deployments and hosting operations.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD methods that enable automated release pipelines.
• Ability to use SQL to structure, retrieve, and manage data in relational databases.
• Experience designing independent services in line with microservices architecture.
• Experience developing REST endpoints and consuming REST-based integrations.
• Ability to apply unit tests that preserve reliability and confirm application behavior.
• Working awareness of NoSQL platforms compatible with Java applications.
• Professional English communication skills at B2 level or higher.

• Document important technical rationale and operational procedures for maintenance.
• Engage business stakeholders to confirm objectives and align software delivery with expectations.
