Job summary

EPAM Systems is a global provider of digital platform engineering and development services. A Senior Java Developer is sought to combine backend strength with AI understanding, delivering scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with multinational teams to shape architecture, implement REST services, and ensure quality with unit tests while leveraging cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS and CI/CD best practices.

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional software engineering experience.
• Knowledge of AI methods and tools for software design and delivery.
• Advanced Java concepts and object-oriented development practices.
• Java 8 language features experience.
• Spring Boot for backend delivery.
• Azure cloud experience.
• AWS cloud experience.
• CI/CD practices for streamlined release automation.
• SQL and relational DBs.
• Microservice architecture design.
• REST-based endpoints and external REST services.
• Unit-testing to verify behavior.
• NoSQL data stores with Java stacks.
• Professional English at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Create robust software applications balancing operational requirements with engineering principles.
• Contribute to architecture and system-design discussions.
• Coordinate with product and technology teams for timely delivery.
• Review code contributions and suggest improvements.
• Investigate and resolve challenging technical situations.
