Job summary

AvantStay, Inc. is seeking a hands-on technical leader to own property technology and corporate IT. You will set networking, Wi‑Fi, and IoT standards across vacation homes and hotels, and manage identity, security, and automation for corporate systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience across network engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, IT engineering, managed services, property technology, or closely related environment.
• Strong networking fundamentals: switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewalls, PoE, Wi‑Fi.
• Experience designing or supporting networks across multiple physical locations and diagnosing wireless coverage, interference, connectivity, performance issues.
• Experience administering modern cloud-based corporate IT environments, including identity and access management, SSO, MFA, and SaaS administration.
• Demonstrated ability to automate technical or administrative workflows using scripting, APIs, or automation platforms.
• Strong practical proficiency with modern AI tools and the ability to apply them to real operational workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts across vendors, systems, and technologies.
• Experience coordinating external vendors, ISPs, installers, or service providers.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.
• Excellent written and spoken English with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own network, Wi‑Fi standards across vacation homes, hotels, and multi‑unit properties.
• Design, review, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless environments, and related infrastructure.
• Resolve outages and performance issues with ISPs and vendors.
• Own reliability of IoT devices like smart locks, gateways, thermostats, sensors.
• Build monitoring and diagnostics for network and device health.
• Evaluate new hardware and vendors; partner with Product and Engineering as needed.
• Serve as technical partner for new hotels and multi-unit deployments.
• Create repeatable technical standards, deployment checklists, and documentation.
