Job summary

TE Connectivity plc seeks a Senior Molding Engineer to lead injection molding process development, qualification, and sustainment. The role partners with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Toolroom, Product Engineering, and Supply Chain to deliver new product launches and productivity gains.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience in molding, process development, and equipment integration, with expertise in scientific molding and DOE/ Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience.
• Experience with process development, mold trials, validation and launches.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, materials, molds and gating.
• Experience leading technical projects and cross-functional implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, qualification and transfer of injection molding processes.
• Define process windows, machine requirements and production standards.
• Lead mold and process validations with sampling and release.
• Apply scientific molding methods to ensure repeatable processes.
• Develop standard setup sheets, troubleshooting guides and control requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and toolroom for reliability and prevention.
• Lead improvement projects from definition to closure.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across the site.
