Job summary

JoVE, a world-leading video platform for scientific research and education, seeks a Senior HR Business Partner to lead HR operations for international teams across Europe and North America. You will own essential people programs, from workforce planning to payroll and compensation, and build scalable HR practices to support growth.

You will partner with leaders, optimize onboarding, manage performance cycles, and ensure cross-country compliance while maintaining a proactive, high-detail approach

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 5+ years as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role at technology-based companies.
• Hands-on experience managing HR operations for international employee groups, especially in Europe and North America.
• Proven ownership of multi-country payroll and benefits administration.
• Experience building compensation ranges or salary bands.
• Strong working knowledge of employment compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience driving excellence across onboarding, performance management, employee relations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders and drive workforce planning and organizational design, using HR data to spot issues early and implement solutions.
• Manage and optimize onboarding processes for new hires across locations from offer to 90 days.
• Lead performance review cycles and coach managers on goals, feedback and improvement.
• Own end-to-end payroll and ensure accurate, on-time pay and reconciliations.
• Build and maintain salary bands using market benchmarks and advise on offers, promotions and pay decisions.
• Manage benefits programs across countries, balancing local practices and costs.
• Be the first point of contact for employees and managers, handling matters with sound judgment.
• Ensure compliance with employment law across all countries and update policies as needed.
